Did you ever just feel so busy that you don’t eat or sleep enough?
You don’t function well.
You don’t feel well.
And your food choices are definitely sub-par.
Well, I’ve been feeling this way lately. There’s a whole lot going on in my life. No complaints. Thank G-d, only good things. But, busy nonetheless.
I have found that having only good food in the house will make your decision-making infinitely easier.
When you’re tired and hungry and craving something sweet, a pear will do just fine if there is nothing else (junk) to choose from!
Otherwise you leave the house and your tummy is grumbling while you scan the passing stores to see what will satisfy your hunger.
I was headed grocery shopping. I know, I know, we’re not to supposed to go grocery shopping when hungry, but I desperately needed food in the house.
So, I’m checking out the stores on the way to the grocery store for a quick bite. The only problem is that when you’re not eating or sleeping enough, you tend to gravitate towards the ice cream parlor/candy store rather than the salad bar…
Why do I seem to know so much about tired and hungry food choices? Well… because I’m living it right now.
Oh, man, a chocolate milkshake has been on my mind! *joking, not joking*
Phew! I made it to the grocery store without stopping.
On the way home, I was actually about to pull into the parking lot with the ice cream store. When I didn’t. I’m not really sure why I didn’t, because I was really hungry and I reeeaaallly wanted it. But, I didn’t. I just kept on driving home with my newly bought groceries and ate a (very) late lunch. Or, and early supper. Depends how you look at it 😉
I guess that once the other options were there, I didn’t need to hit the ice cream parlor.
